Build Wealth and Be Generous
Goal: Build Wealth and Be Generous
Step 7: Continue to Build Wealth
YOU made it!
You have built the habits and taken the actions needed to achieve financial freedom.
You are completely out of debt, you have a fully funded emergency fund, you don’t have a mortgage payment.
What if you took the money you were using to pay off debt and continued investing it to build wealth?
Let’s continue building wealth by investing some (if not all) of that money.
A few possible options:
Invest more in your retirement accounts (Max them out if you can)
Open and invest in a “Bridge” account (Brokerage Account)
Invest in real estate (in cash)
Start a business (with cash)
Be Generous
Now that you don’t have a payment in the world, consider increasing your generosity. One of the most fun things to do with money is to be able to give and be generous.
Everyone is different. Everyone has different causes they believe in. Hopefully there is a line item in your budget for giving/charity. Pick a cause or charity you believe in and be generous.
A few possible options:
Donate to a local charity or cause you believe in.
Increase your giving at Church.
Buy for an Angel Tree (like ALL of the Angels on the tree).
Buy a stranger’s groceries (or a few strangers)
Pay for someone in need's utility bill or rent for a month.
