Welcome!
Welcome to Money Talk with Mike!
I built this site in hopes to make Personal Finance less intimidating, and easier to understand.
Personal Finance is one of those things that people don’t talk much about, even though many have questions. Often those with questions, wait too long to have those questions answered.
If you are like me, Personal Finance was not taught in high school or college, however I had to memorize the periodic table…
After graduating, you may have been thrown into “adulthood,” without much “training.” This meant, making sure to pay your rent/mortgage, pay for groceries, pay taxes, purchase cars, purchase insurance, and save (along with probably 50 other things). Wait.. Do you need to save for retirement? When do you start? How much do you need to save?
Sadly, without much direction, it is easy to get in over your head. It took me until I was 35 to figure it out. I hope to share the information that I learned to help you on your Personal Finance Journey.
There is plenty on my “roadmap” for this site, so check back often.
